A colleague as a Brava, and I went looking at a 2001 GTV today. In both cars I hit my head on the head lining, and I'm not that tall, barely scraping 6 feet. To drive it, I was virtually lying down, or atleast felt like it.

Not going to deny though, it was a nice, went well enough to be a daily commuter.

Im 6'2" and have a GTV.

There isn't much in the way of headroom tbh, not helped by the seats being on small little risers - a few people have removed these and found the seat height much better.

That said, I struggled for a while with the headroom, until I played around with the seat/steering wheel and found a sweet spot - a touch more laid back that I've normally driven with but now I find it very comfortable and even have a tiny bit of headroom.

Just out of interest how much oil does yours use? I've read that they like to use oil.

1999 GTV, 6' tall... yep, head is a little close to the roof, but not too bad. Can't say I've ever needed to use the sun visor however smile

I have another for spares, it has a sunroof... I gained a bruised head moving it onto a recovery truck, thankfully it's just the spare!

Just had a small thought. I am going to have to find 2 driving positions. 1 for every day and 1 for a circuit day, as I doubt position 1 will allow a skid lid to be worn!

Even better thought, this year I had a road trip planned inc Stelvio, Italian roads in an Italian GTish car smile The smiles could be bigger than if I'd done it in my now dead WRXD smile

Mine has used a litre every 5000 miles or so, but I have had both heads rebuilt.

Wish I didn't have to sell it. Its one of those cars you cant help looking back to as you walk away.

6'2" here and use my '98 GTV for a daily commute. I'm not sure if my seats have been modified but I've always felt that I sit very low down in the car and have no issues with headroom. Occasionally have to use the sun blinds as well!

The GTV is weird, you sit really low but still have no headroom.

The saloons are better in that respect, the usual seat height for those is pretty high but the seat can be lowered to improve things.
