Do tracks allow spectators?
Discussion
You will find no trouble spectating at track days. It helps if you know your way round the circuits but it isn't essential. Remember no kids in the pit lane and no cameras on the pit wall.
Most people are happy to let you in and around their garages and will let you get close for unusual pictures if you are interested.
Some spectators sign themselves on as passengers and try and blah a few rides. Having the right attitude and approach always helps. We have taken great pleasure in the past by making someone's day by taking them for some laps in the Radical.

Free access to paddock, pits and pit wall at Oulton Park. Also allowed over the bridge at Deers Leap for access to the outside at Knickerbrook and down to Shell for photos. Inside at Druids is good for photos - ie change in surface and slight brow where cars go light on their suspension! The cafe's open as well for hot food and drinks - always good at this time of year!
Brands give excellent access
Eta- only problem with most (if not all) tracks is most of the access to the outside of bends is limited.
This means for photographers, you get pics of cars that look like off roaders as they are leaning away from you!
You'll need a long lens (and possibly a ladder) to get good outside-bend shots
