eBay MK Indy

Registered 01/04/1985 and a Dutton 1598cc on the V5 (did a 'my car check' type search).

A real bargain or DVLA related nightmare in the making?

Just incorrectly registered which means it requires IVA.

Some might even call it a ringer!

Pretty much the way I would describe it.

As said, it would need an IVA so depending on how much work was required to get it through it may still be worth it. Looking at the pictures most of what you need is there so it may just need sharp edges resolving and perhaps some lighting mods (rear fog and reverse).

He states in the ad it hasn't been registered properly and the new owner would have the choice of rectifying it.

Not a lot of money for a pretty capable track weapon but it does have an engine with oil surge problems in a car.

Bit like a Westfield that was for sale recently registered as a Cortina
DVLA told me it would need to go through the whole registering proceedure of IVA etc
Not just the work involved but the cost of the test put me off

the car was already dicussed here:

http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=124...

and even he made 4310,-pound at the first auction the seller expected more...otherwsie it wouldnt be up for sale again. and i think that the bidder with the name 8***m( 22) was used for shill bidding.

by the way: there is NO logbook comming with the car as th seller lost it (you believe that??)

I had the option of a very nice race Fury a while back
VOSA said I would need to strip back to chassis and prove with photos if I wanted amature build status for IVA

Well, I emailed him yesterday with a few simple questions and have had no reply. I'll give it a miss, it's a shame as it's literally 4 miles up the road from me.
