Has anybody replaced the front seats in their Cerbera with something more supportive and that possibly gives a little more headroom? If so, what make/model did you go for?

Thanks

Richard

Richard just a thought, I could be intersted in buying your existing ones.
What colour are they?

Which seats have you currently got in; Tuscan style or "original" Cerb ones? I've found the Tuscan ones to not be particularly great on fast corners. Think I need to force a few more pies down my throat to help fill up the seat...

I have the original Cerbera seats (1997 car) and I won't be selling them if I do replace them. I'd want to refit the original seats when the time comes to sell it the car.

I want to know if I can get a bit more headroom with a better seat so that I can achieve the optimum seating position with a crash hat on, rather then having to compromise slightly as I currently do.

Tuscan seats have removable cushions so that you can lower your height by a couple of inches when you've got a helmet on...

I'm sure there'll be some in the classifieds... Tuscan ones have the side-support arcing over the top & forming the headrest. Original ones have a "traditional" headrest on a post. (Bit too busy at work today to dig any pics out - sorry)

Don't remember mine doing.

Edited to add: The new-ish ones now will, though, as they're Tuscan seats.

I dont think anyone has ever fitted another make of seats to a cerbera - I wonder whether seats from the likes of a Z3 coupe or other 'quality' marque might fit. All TVR seats IMHO are cr@p.

And isn't that because the newer Tuscan ones are higher than the originals Cerbera seats?

No idea - could be. Can't see why they would be higher, though... there doesn't seem to be much "wastage" in the space they take up in the Tuscan.

Hi,

I also have a 97 Cerbera with original seats. For headroom, I removed the sliders and bolted the seats straight to the floor. The holes in the bottom of the seat lined up with the holes in the floor. For me, this outs the seat in the right place and is lower. Obviously the more vertically challanged can't drive the car.

I've just got another seat off of ebay that should be more supportive, I'll trial fit it this weekend.
