Hi all,
Just wondering if the PH world could share some advice/words of wisdom on my (Mum's) dilema.
My mum is about to purchase a SEAT Leon 2.0 TDI FR (12 plate) from a SEAT Main Dealer. They have had to get one in from SEAT UK as the colour wasn't available anywhere else.
The issue I have got is this....
-I went to order some floor mats and boot liner from at work from TPS and the reg of the SEAT Leon went in as a VW Caddy Maxi van, but according to the HPI Check done by the SEAT Dealer, the reg is right (it comes up as a SEAT Leon). I then had a quick check online (a couple of internet based car check websites) and the reg still goes in as a VW Caddy Maxi.
I am concerned that there might be another car (or van) with the same reg number as the car Mum is buying, and that any speeding tickets etc will go to my Mum, or that she wouldn't be insuring the right car (like she would be insuring a VW Caddy van instead of a SEAT Leon)
Am I being silly or am I right to be concerned?
Any help and advice would be greatly received, what would you do?
Many thanks.

We havent seen the car yet or the V5 as it is coming from SEAT UK. But as soon as we see it, a call to the DVLA might be worth it, even if it is just for peace of mind, let's hope it is just something simple like a wrong digit or letter
Thanks for your help guys!
I'm sure there is a simple explanation. Thanks for your help guys!
Good way to buy a used car by the way.i did the same with my Giulietta, first time I saw it was when I collected it was totally immaculate, first time I've bought a car unseen.

Very good, it's the 2.0 170 diesel auto so very comparable the the Seat. I do 400 miles a week and get 40 mpg overall, it's got the leather seats which are far more comfortable than the cloth. I've plenty of experience driving the Leon, cracking car to drive, comfortable and looks great. What colour did your mum go for? I like candy white and emocion red.
Sounds really good
I saw a Giulietta the other day in black and it looked fantastic! what colour is your Giulietta? Mum has gone for Monsoon Grey in FR spec
really lovely car VX5195 said:

It all sorted now
Turns out it is an A instead of an E! Very easy mistake to make but glad it is all clear now!
I think mats should come as part of the purchase too, the choice was between a years road tax (£100) or £100 of accessories, however, the salesman said that it should come with mats....time will tell!
Cheers for your help guys though

My car direct from the manufacturer already had mats, hopefully yours will to. That'll save £50!
