Somethings been bugging me for awhile now, 29 and i still feel I'm not doing what I'm doing, if i was in school today my choice would be to learn for Compu Fluid Dynamics, or engineering.

I have an ok job doing industrial insulation, improving maths and physics would help that job as well smile

Whats the best route as i can not do night courses etc, buying a high school book to start with? There must be something out that i can do at home. Maybe I'm not looking right on the internet...

A-Levels is (or are) tricky. They all seem to be based around school / college attendance, which limits them to 16-18 year olds. A few years ago I wanted to try re-taking my physics and maths A-levels, but it turned out to be almost impossible.

These people do some excellent courses, but they are mostly university level (unsurprising, as they are online versions of courses from major universities) https://www.coursera.org/

Maybe start off with something like this and see how it goes:

I would agree with above post. My son (who is 24) wants to do a very specific computer engineering degree and he has to get maths and physics a-level. Unfortunately the pre-requisites for the course do not cater for transferrable or equivalent experience/qualifications. So, he's back to college doing maths, physics and English with the 18 year olds. Its not so bad if you know where you want to go and what you want to do, but when I researched it with him it seems that there are very few places that offer A levels and doing them in 1 year (like you used to be able to) is almost impossible. Good luck smile
