Can someone recommend a good curry house in Bournemouth that will take a stag party of 15 please?

Yeah very much so. The family and i go there regularly and there is always a do of some sort going on. Seen more than a few rowdy stag parties in there and the staff know how exactly to differentiate and keep the quiet and loud groups happy without separating them completely.

Another vote for Eye of the Tiger or Little India, just across the road from it and up the hill a bit. Both good currys. Best curry in town though is the Taj in Westbourne, but its out of the way for a stag party.

Do you think the Taj is better than Indis?

Not sure which one you mean? Is that one of the other ones in Westbourne, round the other side of the one way?

I have tried most of the ones in the area, the Taj is consistently the best for quality and service and has the uncanny knack of serving tasty food that doesn't burn my arse the next day. As I understand it, the curry houses in Westbourne are all owned by the same man and he reserves his best chef for the Taj.

ETA: Just looked it up so I know which one you meant. I like Indi's, I prefer the interior feel in there, the Taj is a bit dated. But I still definitely rate the food better in the Taj.

I've been going to Indis for a few years, always get good service because we know most of the staff now; but lately I think the food's being going downhill a bit! Never tried the Taj, been to Westbourne Tandoori a few times. I'll convince the lads to give the Taj a go next week. thumbup

The Taj is without question the best curry house in the Bournemouth & Poole area. Westbourne Tandoori is a close second. Indis is a division lower. Very variable and a overall bland.

I'm an expert, believe me !

For a staggy in town however, Eye of the Tiger it is !
