Right, looking for 2 new beds for Alfie the labrador.
His cage bed is getting changed, i got it from pets at home, it fits his cage but the foam has started to sink so getting him a new one.

Also looking at getting him a bed for the living room, something easily cleaned but comfortable for him to lie in, in the evenings when he relaxes with the rest of us.

So, what do you have? What's good and what's crap?

He doesn't chew or hump his bedding so don't need to worry about that. hehe

Well, you know cot beds? The matresses? We have those... They are covered in waterproof covers, and then we have vet bed on top...

Lots at " Orvis Dogs".

Looking at Alfie though, I think he'd be more suited to shopping at " Scruff MacDuff". smile

Mine has a single duvet folded in four. It was meant to be a temporary situation, but he adores it.

+1. My dog's is about 6 years old and looks brand new, although it's always had a blanket over it. It'll last for ever.

We bought one from Orvis for £59 and she absolutely loves it. It's great quality and very snuggly. We have a Tuffies one for her in the car and it's EXTREMELY firm though good quality. Orvis for me every time.

They last long enough for the foam to go flat? hehe

^^This!

Ours share a king-size duvet folded up. Her Ladyship has a thin single quilt as well, to go on top of her.

Was meant to be a temporary solution as well (she went through a bed-nibbling phase), but they love it now! She's well known for scorning the dog beds downstairs, taking herself off upstairs and not being seen for the rest of the evening!

(yikes at what some people will spend on a dog bed though!)

Comfy though ... unless there's a bear in bed with you ...

My lab sleeps on the settee most times, she does like her bed as she's got older.
her blanket is one my mum gave me in 1974.

Another vote for duvets. We buy Tesco/Asda value duvets for about £6 a time, when they get past it we just replace. Same range of duvet covers are cheap and easily washed.

New beds. Being tried out in a gentlemanly style....

hehe

Daft sod! The black one is for the living room and Is water proof and wipe clean.
The other is a cushion for his crate.

My dad found them. Alfie's happy with them and that's the main thing. smile
