TVR S.O.S. loose stiching on roof and overheating.

hey everyone,
the problem with my 1998 chimeara is that the stiching on the roof has come away about 4 inches worth. is there any advice on what to do about it.specialist or simply sew it up myself. not too sure really. how much is a new roof, dont want to really but depends how much it is.
the other thing is my tvr is overheating straight away. i keep having to refill radiator. makes me think radiator leak, or water pump?maybe and does anyone know how much this would cost to get fixed. i have only had the car 2 months as i work in iraq so i am trying to get all the info for when i return.
it ran well for first 2 weeks then started overheathing.

Start by making sure the system is filled up and the radiator has been bled. If the problem is simply an air lock, this will be enough to cure it. (If you have a leak, the problem will keep coming back until you fix the leak.)
If it is a big leak you should be able to see water or steam coming out somewhere. If you are losing a lot of water and there is no visible leak, it may be that you have an internal leak from a failed head gasket.
In this case best fixed sooner rather than later as it can eventually damage the block and/or head castings, which willr esult in a very expensive repair bill.
In any case, don't allow the car to overheat while you're investigating the problem, because this can cause the head gasket failure (and other damage).
