After hitting 25, I now have more choice with car insurance and feel that after 7 torturous years of dealing with companies with sh*te customer service standards, it's time to go for one that is actually not bad.

Having had a look on here and elsewhere, there doesn't seem to be any that are actually known for being anything other than terrible, am I overlooking some or are they all god awful these days?!

Have you checked quotes now you're 25? For both my girls, the premiums jumped up at 25 and I had the devil of a job to find reasonable quotes.

We have 3 of our 4 cars with LV= and they seem very good - intelligent people at UK call centres. They effortlessly handled one no-fault claim for us, although that was a few years ago and I don't know if they'd still do it in-house.

REIS have always been friendly, cheap and know their stuff.

H&R are much the same, but I've only ever used them for classics.

I've never actually claimed though, so I've no idea how that side of the industry works.

Yeah insurance has came down £150-250 overnight based on the age difference alone, i'm male so it may be different to your female quotes.

Now have plenty of choice all within a similar price range also unlike before so feel like going for one with some easy to deal with rep's. Currently with More Th>n, completely useless, everything needs to go through online otherwise there's a £25 admin charge, but the website barely works at all and doesn't match their databases when I phone up!
