£40 on ebay and fit it yourself. Save yourself £35 and increased premiums.

I did think about that, but the BB has also taken a big chip out of the inside of the windscreen, so getting that fixed/swapped at the same time

Nope - next door neighbour thinks they have hit mine by mistake, as he's had a number of issues with someone in the next street over the years, and they were actually after his ( both his and my cars are metallic blue and parked out front )

A slingshot would provide enough power, certainly more than you would get with a Co2 powered gun.

I would be inclined to think this.

I saw a guy take out an entire thick/laminated shop window with one slingshot ball-bearing.

Having said that I shot my air rifle in the house once and it went right through a metal tin of baked beans as though it wasn't there and shattered a tile on the wall in the kitchen. I wouldn't fancy getting shot by one.

Could be worse. The local recreational pharmaceuticals dealer in the flats opposite me owed money to someone who decided to come and torch his car. Only it wasn't his car. It was the neighbour's car and the fire also spread to the two cars next to it, all three of which burnt out.

Even the most rubbish of CO2 powered air pistols will go through 4" of ballistics gel. Getting shot is definitely to be avoided.
