yep, thats me so please have pity and help.

I removed the cable that goes from the distributor to that electric box thing next to the ignition coil. Its a twin cable with a blue and a red wire. Now, as one wire was split and I wanted to replace it I removed both wires from the plug. Anyone guess what happened?

Yeees, I have forgotten which bloody way round they go. Can anyone with a standard hotwire dizzy take a photo of their plug (dizzy end) so I can make sure I put it back correctly.

Been there, done that!! with the hex shape of the joining block at the bottom and the square shape at the top the blue cable goes in the left hand round gole and the red in the right. IYSWIM
Will try and get a picture for you from the garage in a mo as my car is in bits

understood that all thanks but ... When you say left, are you looking at the black plug from above, or from the side where you push the cables into it?

If from above, then that fits in with what I believe to sort of remember.

No picture needed, that explains everything thanks.

The photo above shows both ends of one cable - The plugs don't fit together and stupidly the other plug this wire fits into only uses black wires - hense my plea for help.

Anyway. All sorted now thank-you.
