will this work on a 600d?
Discussion
This thread http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php... suggests it will.
According to http://www.canon.co.uk/For_Home/Product_Finder/Cam... the lens mount on the 600 supports EF as well and EF-S.

cheers, it came with a std 18mm-55mm and i bought an older canon 80-200mm, which is a big old lump and push/pull to zoom, ive learned size isnt everything and twist to zoom would be better...
Can't see why that lens wouldn't work. IIRC EF-S lenses stick further back into the camera body than EF lenses, so mounting an EF lens on an EF-S body is fine, but vice versa and the EF-S lens will interfere with the mirror on the EF body.Hate to say it, but I much prefer push pull zooms. I find that you sometimes have to reset your hand twice on twist zooms, so you fail to get a smooth zoom in and zoom out. And if focus is on the zoom ring, you can also focus by hand when you have to. Two rings for zoom and focus means you can't do both.
Anyway, I'm a big fan of messing around with cheap old lenses - look for the Cosina 100mm f3.5 Macro. They turn up on Ebay (infrequently) for about £10.
