Maybe there will be a few of you interested in a 6 speed gearbox ,after speaking to a guy selling this car he has married up a Nissan Skyline 6 six speed dog leg gear box to his RV8 .

He may be sending me details .Just shows it can be done .

Thinking that box will set you back a few grand before you start with adapter plates, clutch, flywheel and any other problems.....can be done but probably not cheap.

How badly do you want an extra gear??

Maybe look at importing a T56/tr6060....you know it will fit in the chassis (exhausts tight) but I think any 6 speed box is going to compromise something. There was an adapter plate on ebay for one to a Rover v8 a few months back.

I have never felt sorry for a car before but feck me - I'm tempted to buy it just to put it out of its misery! hehe

Do you think it gets the p*ss ripped out of it by other cars when it's in a carpark?

I suspect even the MG Midgets and Sprites are laughing at it weeping

I have driven this car and in fact it was my first time using a dogleg gearbox. The car is very fierce and changing gear involves quite a bit of practice with timing revs etc. Apparently it has a twin fanned clutch and you can't really drive it normally, more about timing the revs.

Does anyone have any experience of such a set up, and is that how you would expect it to drive?
