Just browsing the classifieds on a boring Tuesday night, and was having a look at these, no one really seems to rate them, are they really that bad? Always lusted after one in my youth, yet you hardly ever see or hear about an Esprit these days?

+1 they're not worth £22k though imo.

problem is the 4 cylinder models are (in reality) just as quick and have none of the associated V8 issues. If you can get the 300 sport -thats the pick of the bunch.

Mine is a 4 cylinder and its hard to tell the difference from the V8, especially to the untrained eye.

I liked the one I had back in 2003/4.
Should have kept it really but got itchy feet as usual. It would have been fairly safe money because the values haven't moved much.

I've always wanted an Esprit, they just look like a 'proper' sports car. I'd love any one be it an S1 to a V8 or anything in between, even a non turbo one would keep me happy. Lovely cars.
