I am trying to compile a record of all 38 series 1's made, it's partly for my personal records and more for the layout for the fest.

So if you have an S1 and will help can you add your cars details to the list below:

Chassis number. Body Colour. Interior colour. Your Name.

Andy, the chassis numbers end in RI, not R1... for Rover Injection

On my V5 it's 1 not I in the idiots guide it's 1 so which is it?

Yes I agree it should be I for injection as per the data plate on my num 1 car, but two of my cars have it as 1 and the others have it as I can I go home now my head hurts!

HI Andy , I have chassis no5 - its number is DH5529R1 , its blue on the log book but is in BMW Silver on the chassis plate ! and it has a black interior. ........cheers Mark

I have DH5958RI, crystal green with green interior (same as No 1)

The body was built in Nov 84 according to a signature inside the nose and it was registered in 85

My first Wedge which I had in the mid-nineties was DH5886RI white with red interior and roof, date of build 04-Oct-1984...wonder where it is now??

Also my mate at the time had a black 350 reg A260 NAR which was quite an early one and according to the DVLA site is still taxed and was first registered 02/12/1983...sorry don't know VIN...

DH5984RI - black (originally blue metallic) - black - LHD - Henning
This one was built in 85 and first registered in 86.

Is it true there were only 38 made in MkI form? -This cars feels rather special now;-)
