Ta,

Rim
Is there any particular reason you're looking to buy from an independant.

The ones at BMW dealers don't seem to be that much more expensive, and you'll get the BMW approved used car warranty, which is the only one to have on a V10.

I'm in London. I have an M6 for sale at the moment, very low miles and probably better than any dealer you can buy from. Under full BMW warranty as well. Unless of course you need finance but then that's pretty to sort out anyway without needing to go to a dealer.

Used to indies from Porsche world. Dealers from what I have seen are more expensive on early cars 2005/2006 cars.

Rimkah - tried to email you but your account doesn't accept PMs. I have a nice black one I'm just about to put up for sale (FBMWSH, warranty and full leather too) - if you PM me I'll send you details.

There are a lot of rubbish M6's for sale out there. Those that are cheap are cheap for a reason. I really don't think you will find a low mileage M6 in the right condition with not a lot of spend required for less than £18,000. Just my opinion but go have a look at the classifieds section and you'll see what I mean.

Not much available and nothing is selling. Called a couple of dealers and the trade in price were really shocking.

The good ones sell quickly and I suspect for more than you want to pay. It's called supply and demand wink.

Of course good cars demand a premium but there is also being unrealistic for the past three week havent seen anything move, therefore wrong prices for the spec, quality and provenance on offer.

I think you might be surprised with regards to your comment about unrealistic prices. Just because cars aren't selling it doesn't mean they're too expensive. The M6 market is a small one and it only takes 1 buyer.

Maybe but for example when I have my LP560 nothing for weeks reduced by 4k overnight had a bidding war.

Fair point but sounds like your LP560 was probably too cheap if you created a bidding war.

Also, you never know you might find a seller who needs to get out of the car for financial reasons etc. and then you can get a good deal. Good luck with it anyway.

Dealers are offering very low teens and cars are just not selling at current prices. If I saw one that I really liked then maybe pay over the odds but its not that type of car.
