.... And I regret to say that at some point my car will be going. I say at some point as I don't know how long it will take to sell but as soon as it does a V8 R8 will be taking it's place. Whilst it doesn't have the theatre (or personality) of the TVR it does offer a package that covers ground faster and more composed than I ever could in the T350, it still offers a nice(ish compared to TVR) V8 soundtrack and enough feel to still be fun (Porsche 997turbo take note).
If anyone knows of someone looking for a mint 4.3 T350t then point them my way, advert will be up in the next week or so and tears will likely start soon after!!

...and that was the V8, not the V10?

Must admit, I did not like the V8 when I test drove one. Not tried the V10 though...

Well, hope you like it! biggrin

Been thinking of getting a new toy this year, maybe I should try the V10 and see if it was better than the V8...

I've tried both and the V10 is a lot better IMO

Obviously not so boring as you did take the time to read and comment though, but thankyou for your highly useful and insightful thoughts on the subject.

I test drove a 07 Gallardo yesterday. It had the Egear flappy paddles and I think that is the problem... an amazing car but I'm not convinced and I really prefer the new shape Gallardo more but will need to save up a lot more! Drove home in the Sagaris with a bigger smile on my face than in the Gallardo but the seed has been sowed....
Sat in an Aventador too. Totally and utterly a monster! smile

You're welcome. I hope your sense of humour doesn't leave with your T350.

I have had a Sagaris and a V8 R8 coupe. Personally I found the R8 felt just like a big Audi TT. It wasn't that fast, didn't sound anything like the TVR and the whole driving experience was just dare I say it a bit 'boring' - I sold it after 6 months. I am sure the V10 and Spyder are much better but think you if you buy a V8 coupe you might soon get bored after the T350. :-)

You won't be buying a V8 after trying a V10

I used to own an R8 V8 coupe and if it's to be a daily driver then fair play, good choice. If it's to be a weekend toy, then a TVR wins hands-down - especially a Sag obviously wink

It's actually really difficult to find another car than trumps a TVR for weekend thrills.

A few years ago I was fortunate enough to have a Gallardo spyder and the Sag even beats that in terms of enjoyment and drama. I replaced the Gallardo with a Murcielago, which was the only car that I've owned that beats the TVR for drama.

...and there's the answer, Tony, sell the T350 and get a Sag instead biggrin

At least it will not depreciate as fast as the R8 tongue out

Loved the R8 when it came out, and the Spyder is delicious. Never driven any of them, but apart from the Spyder, no where near as rare on the roads as a TVR, especially a 4.3 T350 or a Sag.

I would ADD and R8 to my garage, but I wouldn't swop the TVR for it .

If you don't have children, a lot of money and your looking for an allweather and reliable car, take the R8 - otherwise I would never buy a mass production car like the Audi...
