guy at work took bought an m12 at the weekend. went out just now for a spin.

effortless acceleration. i took a 911 gt2 out for a test drive and the m12 felt as fast if not faster than the gt2. not bad for a car costing half the price. now i have to seriously consider a noble.

only problem is that the interior is a little 'unfinished'. i am fully aware that its minimalist theme is deliberate, but couldn't they cover the dash in alcantara or something? plastic looksa bit tacky. wouldn't have added any weight to it by covering it in said alcantara... in fact does anyone know if you can retro fit alcantara to the dash? any ideas of cost?

surprise surprise i have a 911 at the mo, so am used to a certain degree of refinement.

the m12 is a beautiful car, no two ways about it. if i had the garage space i'd buy one tomorrow...

well done lee... you have built a gem of a car... any chance of a job in the 'finishing touches' department?

I found out just how quick they were when goodlife in his 3R and myself in the porker, did a 2nd gear rolling start from 30mph at Bruntingthorpe last year. I was well into three figures before I started gaining on him.

Indeed

Also, as luck would have it a superb example has currently been knocked down to a barely believable 28k for a quick sale in the classified, as i have temporarily left the nobility for an italian mistress for a few months

Dunno how easy it would be to alcantarise the dash as its fairly curvy and bulbous over the dials. Was the car you went out in a 3R? That has a few fabric panels on the dash etc. which do improve things a tad, but still don't hide the fact that there are swathes of not particularly nice black plastic.
