Hi,

I'm currently thinking about buying a cerbera - why, well I've had an s1 and s2 elise in the past and see a tvr as the next itch to scratch. My problem is that I generally prefer to buy privately not just from a financial perspective but also because buying direct from a passionate owner I find gives a better result in terms of getting a car which has had a proper history.

Is there anyone who lives in gloucestershire and would be willing to take me out in their cerbera and answer a few questions, there would be beer or wine tokens in it of course! This would be a more honest chance for me to research whether a tvr would be compatible with me rather than wasting a dealers time with no intention to purchase. I can't think of a better way other than hiring one for a day which doesn't seem possible locally.

Cheers

James

You could probably join the tvrcc and go to a local meeting to start off?
And there's a tunnel run coming up mid May as well that finishes at Brooklands. And of course Chatsworth as well.
Happy hunting!

Thanks for the idea - I had read in a few places that the tvrcc forums and regions in general were not as active as pistonheads these days (the origins of which were tvr?). But happy to be corrected.

I will be going along to Neil Garners next month which is fairly local and looks like a good turnout (almost as good as chatsworth!).

I really would be happy paying to hire a cerbera for a day but this isn't really a common option it seems.

The TVRcc forums are quite but the regions as a whole are fairly active meets ect......

Most information should be on here and most of your questions have been covered in depth worth digging about with the search function for a bit.

Good luck in the hunt they are great fun cars.

It's a few weeks away, but I highly recommend getting yourself up to Chatsworth. You'll meet a very good cross section of owners, and there will be a number of cars for sale as well.

Thanks all for the offers and ideas - I think chatsworth is a bit far away but I will certainly be attending neil garners - I went last year.

I would really advise getting yourself to chatsworth. It's not that far and you'll never have a chance to see so many tvr in one place.

It's not too far for the guy driving from Finland, just like he did last year as well (and that was a complete wash-out).
