Garage recommendation for outrigger replacement

Hi all,

I have recently bought a 97 Chim and the outriggers need replacing. My car is in the Manchester area. I have contacted a number of garages that I have found on the internet and the prices have ranged from £1,500 to £2,400. Some paint, others powder coat - can anyone advise which is best? Can anyone recommend any of the following garages: X Works, Sportmotive, RT Racing, Southways. Or can anyone recommend any other garage please?

I am based in Spain and I was planning to drive the car back over here mid March so if anyone can help asap, I would really appreciate it?

Not used any of them... But Sportmotive or RT Racing would be my first port of call based on reputation

Track v road in Clithero a bit north of Manchester have just done the outriggers on my Cerbera. It was part of the deal so don't know what they would charge. It's an option and I have to say they have done an excellent job and really easy to talk to.

Give Ryan at SP Automotive a call, they are in Tattenhall, Cheshire. I know him from when I was at Uni with him and the quality of his work is very high. He's a trainer car designer, learnt what he knows from working under Damian McTagget (Ex-TVR Designer) at Marcos, he's also an accomplished engineer and vehicle restorer. He also TVR's himself so also understands from an owners perspective.

My vote is for X-Works. Heath and Paul were the service department at TVR right up until the factory closed. They're two of the straightest guys you'll ever meet and they've looked after my car for the whole 6 years I've owned my Griffith.
I've seen several of their outrigger installations and it is an excellent job.

Another vote for X Works. I've seen a few of the outrigger replacements they have done, and they always look excellent.

Southways for me, no question. I've been down there a fair bit and seen the workmanship on the Chimaeras they have done there. Better than new!

totally agree with both Keith and David, X-works are the best in the business. But Heaths cuppa tea's are shocking, either get Paul to make it or do it yourself.

Topcats, near Aylesbury did a great job on mine. I stripped down to chassis and they picked it up - the outriggers were replaced & chassis powder coated.
