Gap / RTI insurance

Hi All,

I have a new car coming next week, and would like to buy GAP or return to invoice insurance. The dealer obviously has their own (expensive) policy, but I wanted to ask if anyone had a suggestion for a third party insurer.

My anxiety with going to a third party insurer is whether they will be around in two or three years time should I need to claim, and whether their cover is the same (or better?) than that offered by the dealer.

Any suggestions / help you can offer would be welcome.

It's all about the underwriter at the end of the day. There's nothing to say that the underwriter for the main dealer won't be around in 3 years time.
