As tiny as the holes will be, and never having worked with fibreglass, what would be the best product to fill a couple of small holes left by reg plate screws?

I did mine with ordinary Isopon filler with no probs. Have been done about 3 years now.

If you just want to fill them and they'll be covered by another number plate I'd use "P40"

clean up the back of the panel and build it up a little so its not just a tiny bit actually in the hole.

It you are looking to do an "invisible repair" coz number plate is going elsewhere that is a bit more of a job !

The correct way to do it is:

Lightly grind the holes to give it key and prep with 320

Glass with p40 or similar

Rub down with 180

Then fill with body filler

That's pretty much the idea! Not made easier that its a vertical surface to be worked on. I've touched up bonnet chips before so this shouldn't be that difficult.
