so, has anyone got this yet?

I've just got past the guy with magnetic powers and flies apart when you go to slice him, god that was an annoying fight....but good and hard.

the ripper mode is pretty cool aswell, just does loads more damage than normal but only works while you still have power in your suit/sword thingumabob, and you only get it halfway though the game too.

i think its a brilliant game on the metal gear theme, and adds to the back story of raiden which first appeared in (i think) metal gear solid 2, naked, no weapons or anything else. i think thats who it was anyway.

the sword work is a fresh change from the normal go in guns blazing, and you even have to avoid killing or even getting spotted in a few places,

so, what are your thought on this game then?

Really didn't like the demo, didn't feel like MGS. Looked great but felt more like a god of war type game so not opting for the full version.

Same here, I'm not a fan of these hack and slash style games. I'm just hoping they do a new proper Metal Gear Solid game at some point as I've loved the previous ones.

There's at least one coming, an open-world game (Metal Gear: Ground Zeroes), there was also something teased a while back that wasn't officially titled as a Metal Gear game, but had so many little touches to suggest it probably was, trailer is here if you fancy a watch:

It could be that they're both the same game and Kojima is up to his usual tricks, but they could be two separate titles.

I'll get around to playing Revengeance at some point, but I'm usually awful at hack and slash games like this, so I won't be rushing out any time soon.

is that cause it was not a sneaky shooty affair? i like to think of it as a game with the metal gear raidens story, but not actually a metal gear, more of a spin off.

I thought it was pretty good, but I didnt play the demo to see what that was like. what bit of the game was in the demo?

The tutorial was in the demo, along with a bit where you landed on the beach, then attacked a few guys and the mooing mechs. Think that takes place after Raiden gets his upgrades.

This is such a good game...sooo much fun and doesn't take itself too seriously.
