bit disappointed they've gone with 4 rather than a 3.1 kinda thing as it wont be a new graphics engine etc like from AC:R to AC3.

lets hope the main person isnt as dry as connor. i can see the assassin having to go to various cities in the new world

Defo needs a personality upgrade, i'm really struggling with getting to 'like' Connor, prefer Haytham!

Idea of more ship based stuff does sound cool

My I'm missing ezio auditore da firenze

I think the problem with conner was that there wasn't a feeling of real conflict in him

He just meanders through each mission plus a lack of gadgets and a Leonardo - his brotherhood was poorly done

I really want to get excited about this but I still have the disappointment of AC3 in my mind. Bit worried that they've still gone with the same family name which might mean links to AC3.

new character looks to be haythams dad so you may be in luck. i however absolutely hated the ship parts in 3, to the point of nearly quitting the game completely when i got the (fortunately) the last one

i have to say i am properly enjoying this. the hunting is very fun and the harpooning adds a great dynamic. i didnt really enjoy the ship battling in ac3 but its alot more interesting in this one.

Played the first AC - thought it was fun, and had some good ideas. But waaaaaaay too repetitive. Got bored and wasn't even half way through.

I like Pirates. And Pirate games. I love Sid Meirs' "Pirates!" and "Pirates Gold"

Really want to get Black Flag - will I like it, guys?

its so much more advanced than the first one. ac1 was released in 2007, theres 9 years of evolution up to now. my only thing against it is that he map is massive! it can be trudge across it unless you use fast travel.

I'm going to have to pick this up soon, but at the moment I have CoD, BF, FIFA and Forza so getting AC would be a bit of an overload.

Been playing this, I've not got too into it as I've also got BF4 to play but from what I've seen so far it seems to be a return to form. The updated stealth and free running mechanics are spot on, the story\characters seem to be quite interesting and who doesn't like Pirates?

The only negative I will mention is the graphics, yes it plays very smoothly and the map seems huge but it just isn't very detailed, it just looks like a recent PS3 game which isn't to say it's bad, just not at "next-gen" as I was expecting, especially when you compare it to the gorgeous BF4.
