Has anyone recently been involved in one of these?

I ask, because my partner is pregnant and we've been told that we ARE to have an interview with them.

I've been told that these are very personal questions and both the visitors and the pregnant women find them very inappropriate. I guess by that, they mean maybe patronising or too personal.

I'm also guessing that this has been implimented by the government as another necessity.

Me and my partner have 2 children already, so I've no idea why this interview is suddenly relevant to them.

I've heard and partially dismissed some rumours that the interview usually includes the couple telling them it's non of their business.

Does anyone have examples of questions asked?

Cheers all.

What a bunch of busy bodies they are. Some of my younger family are lucky enough to get visited by them.

Most recent baby was a couple of years back and I don't think it was anything scary. I'd just play the game with them. I can't understand how they can advise on bringing up children when some of them don't have any experience of doing it.

I would avoid confrontation as you'll get labelled as an aggressive customer and they might tell Social Services.
