Sticking bits on to other bits

Turned on my lights last night and managed to push the three light buttons back into the dash/ radio panel.

Get dash off and I find one of the metal hooky type bits that hold light switches onto the back of the dash has come away.

How do I stick one bit to the other bit please?

It looks like metal to metal but welding would appear to be out of the question.

just redone the dash on my Griff - used araldite (well B&Q equivalent) to fix the dash button panels back on, seems to hold up to the 'test' abuse I gave it before refitting.

edited to say both pieces need to be clinically clean for a good bond.
