Yes.and it is!
A big outlay( but that won't apply to you so even better) but it's actually good value, and a cracking day. You'll be buzzing.

It's a great day. I'd love to do it again.

Just hope you're not sent out first in the single seater, as my group was. I'd much rather have done htat later in the day, at least after the drive of the two seater track car with the instructor. If ypu've never been in a single seater open-wheeled race car before, it is so different that it takes a long time to dare to use even a fraction of its accelerative and braking abilities.

Best ever!

They now have Atoms and have gotten rid of the horrible 911s.
The grip on the LM cars are impressive, but the most special part is when driving the single seaters, actually feeling the aero package having an affect.

For me, the Caterhams were the most fun, especially when you have a mental instructor who convinces you to go sideways everywhere!!!

You sir, are a very very lucky man. You're going to love it.

Those 911s were by far the worst car they had, even duller than the XKRs.

Palmers is great and the instructors will help you go faster and faster.

The Caterhams were the most fun and the LM cars for me were the scariest. They were the last in the day, it was wet, I ached but had to go faster for the aero to work.

Do you know if you've got the full day with the take home USB stick of video from you time in some of the cars

Seems quite reasonable for what you get to drive, especially compared with some of these driving experiences!

p.s. Apologies for the stupid question, didn't read enough!

Why bother with this when you can have a day with Supercar Lifestyle for just £199?

I agree that the Caterhams were the most fun. You can get the rear end out on every corner. One guy in our group was simply incapable of staying on the track, which was highly amusing.

Yep, went on an M3 experience (xmas present from mrs.) at Bedford last year and realised that I'd never make a tame racing driver. hehe

If anyone's interested, there's a pretty cheap* deal on at the moment for PHers at Palmersport - there's an event happening on the 9th March.

There's a separate thread running about it over in the Track Days forum.

I'm going - first timer. Looking at the videos on youtube etc, it looks amazing.

C

*Cheap for PalmerSport. £714 inc vat as opposed to £900 inc vat.

Looked on their website, as special offer of 3 whole laps for £199.Might be worth doing some homework on the Palmer day and report back, after perusing what you get for their special offer of £714.I't a lot of money,it;s also far better value than any other day/experience/training day I've been on.the only one that comes remotely close was a Porsche one at Silverstone, where I got at least my moneys worth in tyres alone. The Palmer day is a one off,no-one comes away dissapointed of short changed.

It's the best day out there and is amazing and eye opening. Having never driven anything with slicks and wings before the LM car is just awesome. Makes you start looking at buying one as soon as you get out.

I've done it once and I will definitely do it again. IIRC ours was £1100 each but that included meals and trophies.

because its on another level completely...

Its amazing. Done it over 20 times now... and just about to book some up for this year.

It really is staggeringly good day. So slick, so professional, fun, thrilling, and you have the competition side to the day as well.

I can't reccomend it highly enough and its unbelivable value for money if you consider what a trackday in your own car really costs... even if you don't break anything on your car. You also are fully insured and get some excellent instruction as well.

A total must for any petrol head in my opinion!

Everytime I do it... I come away thinking why do I bother tracking my own cars?!?! this is cheaper and 99% of the time better. The DN events at the Ring are only thing that I've done that have been as good...
