Driving down the A1 yesterday at 70mph and a stone hits the front window and I now have a large chip on the window screen central position but lower down near the dash area. I have window screen cover, but do they just fill a chip now or will I be able to insist on a new screen. Anyone been there with one. I would prefer the screen to be replaced as I wouldn't trust a repair and whatever they claim I'm sure it will be noticeable come re-sale time.

Nothing wrong with repairs, I've had multiple repairs on various cars, never an issue.

I would have it repaired which is foc usually. If not happy then go for new screen which will cost you your windscreen excess. Had mine done recently on my daily which cost me £75.
