Looking to replace my current company car, Focus RS MK2. Not the most tax efficient car, but it has been fun, especially after MP350 Upgrade. I'm pretty sick of the rock hard ride for everyday use.

The M135i Looks to be in a class of it's own when it comes down to list price, low C02 and performance. The annual tax will work out just a £100 or so more than my Focus, according to Comcar.

What else can I consider, if anything?

I'm not adverse to buying something and then having it tuned, providing it's by a reputable company. This seems to be one of the few ways of cheating the system.

For example, thought about a Subaru BRZ with Litchfield Supercharger. Not the most practical though.

Well there's lots of M135is in the work car park (more than other mk2 1-series put together, in fact), so they're obviously pretty popular. smile

They do look very hard to beat for the money if you can live with the looks.

Looking at the a45 with interest, but not sure about the looks, looks like it tries a bit too hard to appeal to a "young audience" This was re-enforced by the website for it, full of facebook talk and a lame music track.

Still, i respect amg, but supect it will be 40k after options as opposed to 36 for the BMW. Lower co2 though?

It is a 2.0 turbo so I'm guessing the Co2 should be less.

Your right that its being targeted at a younger audience, but at the same time I'm not sure how much money they think young people have! biggrin

Options would probably bump it up, you couldn't say no to the carbon aero package with the big spoiler! Haha
