Hello all. smile

I was having a look through the Porsche specialists list on here and I noticed one not far from me that I didn't even know existed: Wrightune.

I found one testimonial for them on here from lucky no 7 but I wondered if anyone else had any experience of them.

What are the criteria for getting on the Wiki? By that I mean, how does a noob like me know that the companies on there are any good?

Cheers.

They have to be able to edit a wiki.

Sorry - what do you mean? Being able to edit a Wiki is the only criterion?

Thanks. smile

I'd like them to look at a minor niggle on a 996 911 that I bought last weekend. But if they're any good then I'll use them for servicing, repairs, etc.

Yes. But Tony Wright gets good reviews. My own Indy was able to help with cruise control retrofit or I'd have tried him.

Thanks. smile

I looked at retrofitting cruise control to mine (MY1999) but according to Wrightune's site it can't be done. frown

I haven't used them myself as I live the wrong side of country, but heard very very good reports about Tony. The '996' expert/guru from PCGB, who wrote the 996 ultimate owners guide book, Richard Hamilton, uses Wrighttune all the time, so if they're good enough for him...

Tony is local to me as well and is very good. Has looked after my last three 911s and serviced my car last week. No problems found!

Wrightune, highly recommend them. Very down to earth and looked after my old 986 brilliantly.

Thank you all for the replies. Very much appreciated. smile

I emailed Tony yesterday and described the problem (fuel gauge needle stuck pointing straight up). He got back to me within two hours with a quote. smile

I probably won't get it sorted at the moment as it's (relatively speaking) a lot of money to fix a minor inconvenience. But based on the feedback from you lot and the response from Tony I'll definitely be taking my 911 to him for servicing and any other work. smile

I've been using Wrightune for nearly a decade. Very happy to recommend.
