I know it's Friday pm and a lot of noise starts this time of the week, but I'm serious.
It's been a long time in the pipeline but I feel it's time to pull the trigger.
A good 993 will cost 25k. The running costs are what I'll pay to enjoy the car for around 5k miles or less per year.
I think depreciation has ended on this model and it should now flat line in real terms (o/h justification), maybe even appreciate but let's not bank on it. The reasons why I should I'm familiar with, that's why I'm here. So I'm inviting the "why not" arguments. I suspect the 50th will raise prices a little so let's do it now. Although same thing happened with e-types last year then softened.

What better way to enjoy some great motoring pedigree with zero depreciation?

I could try to baffle you with 'Man Math' reasoning etc etc and write paragraphs of waffle - but I find it much easier to just say...

DO IT.

Don't do it. Pick up a 964 that's gonna go up a bit.

But will they ever overtake 993 values? Not too much difference between them now from what I can tell

Do you know what, I've was looking at this ad - shame it's sold as if it's what the ad says it is, it just looked wonderful value.

That's the bit that scares me...75k spent in 5years.
Why's he selling and why only 27k. I appreciate that he who rebuilds never really recoups his investment, but that's a big hit

Don't do it... get a 996 Turbo instead, surely they can't go down anymore!

993s are going to get to the 'needs major work' stage that 964s are just coming out of.

I know where my money would be.

Those h/lamps....
Turbo maint costs?
I favour a std Carrera 2
On the 993s I can't work out why GTS are twice as much though. Great package that seems to already be appreciating
