You need "jaguar audio connectivity module". They are expensive (~300), and like rocking horse poo.

There's no provision for an aux. input to the standard radio; or at least certainly not on my '07. I use an FM transmitter thingy and bluetooth.

Jaguar have an Audio Connectivity pack as an option. Both mine had it. It enables MP3/iPod/USB Stick type connectivity & fits in the centre console. Mine worked very well. Only fits post 2002 cars.

Ouch, been 4 years since the last S but it was around £295 fitted by Jaguar when I that done. I think the module was around £150 or so?

Should be able to get it fitted sub £300, still a lot! I actually bought some CD's last week until I can justify it.

I put a Parrot 9200 in mine, runs the iPod just fine. Way cheaper than the ACM and if you've already got voice (which I hadn't) just don't pair your phone to it. Previous to this, I used a Dension Icelink, also good kit.

Fit the Miltek to my car, in return you can take my audio connectivity module.
Deal?

Does the Parrot use the Sub (I Have an XKR) and is the sound quality on par with the built in system playing a CD, seems like a good value option

I have a Parrot 9200 in my X-type - sound is fine now I've fiddled with the iPod settings. Love the remote control which I have mounted on the centre console.

Really tidy installation, easy to use and the phone pairing for both mobiles I have with me in the car works very well.

I'm not a music expert when it comes to car installations, if I can hear it and it sounds okay that's generally enough for me, I like my loud pipes wink

I fitted the following to my X Type sport
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/iConnect-FM-2-iPod-adapt...
By doing this i can still use my 6 disc cd changer etc. I know some people may turn there nose up at it but it was cheap to buy, simple to fit, its easy to use & charges my ipod when in use. The sound quality is good to as its a direct link & not like other Fm Transmitters you buy that plug into the headphone socket & constantly loose a signal.
The only downside is you need to use the ipod/iphone itself to select tracks/music which can be a bit distracting when driving.
If you do decide to give it a try then you may also also need a male & female Fakra type arial lead connector to connect it into the back of your radio head unit.

Just search the auction site for various prices if you want cheaper options.

My S doesn't have a sub as far as I know, just the standard system. I'm no audiophile but it sounds fine to me. I paid about £130 plus I needed an Autoleads adapter for my 2002+ set up. Fitted it myself, no problem at all although the remote has an appetite for batteries.
