Well, I covered a mere 51,000 in my Grff. That car was running better than ever for running everyday and being regular serviced. Every so often it would need to be taken by the scruff of the neck to ensure it was running at its best. If there were times when you had to potter in traffic you had to balance up with a good stretch of the legs!

A brief study of the classifieds in Sprint shows an average mileage of 4,000 per annum. 200,000 miles is therefore 50 years for the average TVR bod!
I'm currently doing 12k per annum in mine. Come on people, lets push up the average a bit (if only for my resale value

Yes I agree, i'm sure mine goes better for 2 or 3 weeks after each trackday (except for the one where the cam cover gasket failed!). 68000 not out, let me down 3 times; fuse, ignition module, and cam cover gasket (although I did limp home with that one, used a gallon of oil in 200 miles, chassis is now rustproof!).

....had a few near ones though: starter motor: get a push, main fuse: take it out & short across, fan switch: short it, engine cut out in fast lane of peage in France: twiddle everything that moves & pray, coil: limp to dealer which happened to be 2 miles away..
Is it TVR nature that we've aired the problems!! What about the HUGE grin you get when you stamp on the loud pedal? All the waves & thumbs up you get from just about everybody? Creating a mini pedestrian jam of onlookers when in Italy? Hurtling around alpine passes? Braving the mountains in North Mallorca?

At 85k it's gone to a new home - on the Isle of Wight. I suspect it thinks that it's being "put out to grass", but I know the new owner will be expecting a further serious tour of duty!
I have to admit that it's not gone anywhere for a few days while I've been fitting my ACT acquisitions
but otherwise we're not giving it time to get near any grass. I like writing 5000cc on milage expense claim forms too much...
It'll get a good run to Guildford on Monday...
