Always been my dream car, and finally got to drive it.
Very fast but no sound to match the speed.

I was at Mercedes Benz world a couple of weeks ago and the CLS63 AMG I drove sounded fantastic, and I think I enjoyed that more than the 997. Not as fast but far more aural and damn comfortable to boot! I must be getting old.

Not at all. The 997 turbo is immensely capable, and you would never be able to fully exploit it on the road. That would annoy me a bit, especially since it's so expensive.

The CLS63 makes a hilariously awesome noise even when it's sat at traffic lights and idling, it's much more fun. Since the capability is lower, you would be able to have a bit more fun in it IMO.

911 has always been my dream car. I just felt cramped inside it, maybe I need to lose weight! Maybe after the 730D it is bound to feel a lot smaller and cramped.
