Quit when you're ahead.
Don't chase losses.
Don't bet what you can't afford to lose.
Keep enough back for drinks/cab.

When you win, remember to teabag the croupier.

Why would they hate that? Just another number with odds if 1/37 of coming up.

I think he's being funny - what puts the odds in the house's favour is the zero. Therefore bet on zero and the odds are in your favour, roight? nuts

Decide on how much you don't mind losing beforehand (normally what I'd spend on a night out anyway) and stick to it!

Leave the credit cards at home and just take cash, that way you can't go too mad. Be suspicious of girls becoming friendly, especially those that are out of your league, unless you are happy to pay for their company and drinks.

Put whatever a taxi costs to get home in another pocket to make sure you haven't got a long walk home.

Consider the money all gone and then enjoy!

Unless you are in America. Then you will have 0 or 00 to choose from. Myself? Leave it on red and let it roll.

In the book "Casino Royale" James Bond plays 2 of the 3 lower/middle/upper 'thirds'. This, it is claimed, offers a 66% chance of a 50% payback (as the thirds pay at 2/1), I believe he also pushed his bets so a run of 2 or 3 consecutive 'wins' lead to a decent payout.

Of course, I have never played a single spin of roulette preferring to lose my money at craps (playing the pass line with max odds and then placing the 6 and 8).

Just be. Aware that even at cheap casinos, that's £10 a spin as the minimum is £5 on edge bets.

I've always done fairly well at roulette. Set a limit of £30, and start pocketing anything you gain over the £30.

For example, when at 50, pocket 20 and keep playing so your only ever playing with 30 on the table. If you don't do this, it's really easy to get to 60, lose a bit then start chasing and end with nothing.

I do enjoy the odd visit to the casino, just need some self control!

Don't play roulette. Don't ever play roulette. Play Blackjack.. It is by far the better game. I was a croupier when I left school, and Blackjack would be the only game I would play.
