Let’s hope his maintenance is better than his spelling and grammar. It doesn’t say much about his care and attention to detail. You’d also think people might make a little effort when trying to get top money for their vehicle, even if it means asking a grown up with ‘O’ Level English to proof read the add. soapbox

Did you mean "proof read the ad"?

I'm currently a mature student, and am friends with someone who was the disabilities officer at the Students Union.
A recent conversation led me to discover that things like dyslexia are far more widespread than I had ever thought
So whilst poor spelling etc can annoy me, I do tend now to be more accepting.

I love the English language.

There are so many similar words that are really different. My current favourites are; Accepting and Excepting. I find these are commonly confused by the masses and provide me with warm feelings of superiority and smugness

Both fair points but given the number of poorly written ad's (or add's smile) on PH and Ebay, they can't all be be down to disabilities; can they? My speeling is poor but I make the effort to get it right. Most of the time wink

Good question. It’s more than I thought mine was worth, but maybe I’m wrong and V8S values are on the up. There’s another thread on here about ‘S’ values so there’s no point in recovering that ground. In any event, it is a free market so any car is worth what someone is prepared to pay for it – to them anyway.

Dyslexia is no laughing matter; it killed a good friend of mine when he choked to death on his own Vimto.

I am sure this has been lurking for a while, possibly on another site, the car and the description is familiar to me.
Possibly a "re-advertised" on the same site. IIRC it was £10k before.
