Has anyone replaced the windscreen on their T350. If so, did you ( or your fitter ) have any issues in getting it to fit? Assuming that it did fit correctly. Which manafacturer did you use and how much did the screen cost?

Just had the screen replaced on my T350. It was done using STR8SIX and cost around £920. The car was trailered up to Blackpool where Ex TVR factor fitters did the job. It came back looking perfect and I'm very pleased with the results.

Had to insist that the insurance company didn't use there standard fitters. There are some stories about bad fitting, leaking and dash boards being damaged. I decided it was worth getting someone who was recommended, so the job would get done correctly the first time and the car wouldn't get damaged.

Tom, did that price include fitting?

Just checked exactly how much it cost £907 + VAT. Yes that was everything. Had a quote from Racing Green at around £600-700, but they reused the outer rubber seals.

When I was sorting out getting it done. I was told about two metal brackets running between the pillars and the glass which corrode and need replacing. This is what I think happened to mine and cracked the screen. RG do replacements in stainless steel for £80.

Like this ?

Hard to see in the picture but the pitting is very deep.

Bespoke also offer screen fitting service. Think the glass is about £500 and the labour about £150. The seals are worth replacing but aren't that expensive.

Hi,

Would you claim on insurance etc, what have you done there? Or just paid out of pocket?

Its my intention to go through the insurance route. Its presently with Ian at Sportmotive. Not because of the screen, but the car is having other work done too. So since its already there. He may as well do that as well.
