I mean what age did you start getting into cars, as in you started to devote your time too, learnt a lot about cars, the mechanical side of things, what age was you when you restored your first car etc?

At the age of 2. Back then I knew what a 6 cylinder was and any BMW equipped with anything less (E30 M3 and 2002 turbo excepted obviously) was ste and not worth entertaining. 19 years on I stand by this. Also watching dad tinkering with his bikes helped as well.

My dad had to sell his much loved MG Midget when my mum fell pregnant. He bought a new one while she was in hospital recovering from giving birth to me! I came home jammed between them.

I've always been into cars, lots of pictures of me at Oulton Park and at the the RAC Rally at 6 months old onwards.

October 1978 - bought Car magazine on the strength of the Giant Test of 308, Urraco and Merak. That would make me about 35ish years younger than now.

My parents tell me my first three words were 'ma,' 'da,' and 'car.' I've wanted to drive from as far back as I can remember.

Since I was a tiny little kid. My Mum often likes to recall a story from my time at play school, where each of us were assigned a letter and we had to bring in an object from home beginning with that letter the next day. All the normal kiddies did as you would expect, but my choice for the letter 'B'? BMW E30 325i Coupé Matchbox car. biggrin

To get me to go to sleep when I was but a wain, my dad would take me out in the family car for a drive. I was always most comfortable in a car and always will be.

Always been into cars but went seriously over the edge upon joining PH. I now find enjoyment in spending vast amounts of money on my car (having picked a rather PH first car).

My earliest memory is sitting in the garage with my Dad while he did an engine swap on his mini. It would have been just after I little brother was born, so I was 2.

I remember my dad buying a red Triumph 2.5 PI estate in 1976 it was only two years old at the time, it was an amazing car I was much impressed that it could do 100 mph so easily, that kick started my interest in cars which is still burning strong 36 years later.

I've been into cars for as long as I can remember.

I started buying car magazines such as Fast Car, Cars & Car conversions etc when I was about 11 with my pocket money and I bought Autotrader regulary from when I was about 14 pre internet days when it was a thick black & white book planning what I was going to buy when I turned 17

My parents tell me I was about two years old when I became fascinated by cars. Apparently I could name 'every car on the road', no doubt to the point of being irritating. Somehow I was into Ferrari Testarossa's, then the F40 when that arrived. I think when I got to about 10 and was capable of reading car mags I really started to get into them. My parents would be badgered into picking up the latest copy of PerformanceCar to read!

I'll be really quite gutted if my future kids (boys or girls!) don't take an interest. I'm sure my Dad was saddened by my lack of interest in rugby though.
