Just had a 6k service at Power, car had last service @ Power in 2010 with half time bearing & tappets 18.5k miles.

I brought car in Jan this year with 21k miles, FTVRSH, new MOT, great history, all previous MOT's.

So you would expect a 6k service to be around £400 I believe, I ended up spending five times that!

This reads like a moan, but believe me, it is not at all smile

I am SO impressed with the attention to detail that Dom & his team applied to the car, one shock was leaking, air leaking into throttle bodies, diff bushes worn, battery required reseating and anchoring, replacing old booster fittings, re earthing lambda's, plus a multitude of other jobs required.

So I took the call, said OK, please do all the jobs ( cost split between labour & parts), had a compression test which showed a very strong engine and arranged to pick car up a day later - Friday.

So, got to Power around 17:00 on Friday, car was not ready until 19:00, the guys working on it let me know what they were doing & did not moan about the late night.

Car was taken for a test run & when returned, I was told 'should be like a new car'

So left Power 19:30 Friday evening & went M6, M1 back to Buckingham.

So having waited another day & spent 5 times what I thought I was going to spend - am I happy?

Feck me yes, car is an absolute dream, new shocks set up spot on, point & go, engine pulls like a train! Now realise what all the fuss is about with the T cars.

As long as I have the car, it will be going to Power for service - don't often see such good customer service/relations now a days.

Dom & team, thank you very much, it was a pleasure doing business (not necessarily paying the larger bill smile) with you.

See you in 6k miles

Alan,
what shocks did you have fitted? And which one was leaking? My front left is leaking and needs replacement. Was thinking about Nitrons. They seem to be recomended.

We have to meet up soon! I'm going away again on Friday.

Chris - I've just had the latest spec bilsteins fitted to my Tamora and they are great! I had the bushes and springs done too but car is just brilliant. I was told Uni Part have reduced the price too.

Druid, yes diff bushes replaced so I'd imagine it was my diff going back in......

Chris - front left shock leaking (originals) & Dom recommend Gaz Gold (I asked about previous reputation on this make) as a replacement ( nitrons & others available smile) , early days but such a difference , car feels SO planted.... May get adjusted after a bit of use...
