On a pre-drilled helmet, sure, but would you really drill your own fixing points?

didnt one of their probes miss its target by several thousand miles recently because nasa were using imperial and JPL were using metric..

a mate of mine was over in the states building a new metric truck. everything was in multiples of 25.4mm for some reason

I have always purchased helmets with pre-drilled holes, but a factory drill bit looks the same as my home drill bit. I would have no problems at all drilling a hole in my helmet. It's not NASA rocket science

Exactly. HANS helmets aren't locally reinforced in that area, so you just drill a hole in the right place. That's what they do at the factory. The only difference is that they've got an expensive sticker, and the guy who does it will have had a bit more practice.
