Looking for an architect with knowledge and experience in building commercial retail property. Large span, steel framed structures, eg. New build Tesco Express and such like, but enough load bearing for a 2nd floor. A builder with similar experience would be valuable too if anybody knows one. Leeds/Bradford area preferably. Feel free to post here or PM me directly. Many thanks.

You might be better talking to a Structural Engineer

I'd suggest its worth speaking to a design and build contractor to manage all aspects for you - structural design and architectural detailing???? They will find cheapest and quickest way of meeting your performance criteria???

You would still benefit from having a cost consultant or contract administrator in tow. And a CDM-C to look after your health and safety liabilities as client / employer.

You already have the land? Planning?

Try Marshall Construction who build throughout the NW and have a land bank too if required.

PM me to chat or for details on smaller D&B contractors - I know a good firm that build similar (audi and volkswagen showrooms) including other office buildings, housing, etc.

Best of luck with your project

My company does D&B office interiors and furniture, seating and storage if that's of interest.

As mentioned above you're probably best in the first instance speaking to structural/ consulting engineers. I'll PM you a firm I know.
