Pies,

how is the pipe attached to the filter at the front. I asked ACT if they did a kit the other day, but they said no. I assume that is where that piece came from.

Looks like a big Jubilee Clip. Anybody reckon there's a way to get rid of the convoluted pipe on the V6.

No time like the present ,as for driving i haven't been out in it since

TBH the old pipe looked worse on the outside, the inside seemed slightly smoother but was nice and square in places

Pies,

you have a different system to mine. My silver drainpipe is much shorter than yours, I have another flexi bit that goes around the edge of the rad and attaches on to a mounting bracket. The filter is mounted onto this as well. Yours looks better all round

Maybe I can find a piece of ali tubing shaped like yours from somewhere. Has anyone got any ideas.

If you don't have your air intake wrapped round the exhaust then how are you going to use the the incoming air to cool the exhaust?

Well it feels better, but that might be due to the fact i've been driving an oil burner all week

Its back to Austec for a service in 2 weeks so i'll know then

The good thing about the 4.3 Griffs is that they use a SEAC chip which tends to run too rich, therefore giving scope to increase intake efficiency (trumpets etc) without ECU mods, they respond very well to trumpets/ inlet modifications, but of course if you have a Mark Adams remap you would get an even better result.

Tim

PS
Not sure how this post ended up on this thread ?? maybe i pressed the wrong button somewhere, i was replying to a Griffith 4.3 tuning topic.

What ID are the new shiny samco(?) hoses Colin . It looks a little larger thatn the one it replaced to me.
Can you get 90 deg bends as that one (135deg ?) is too sharp for my installation.
