Random annoying car thing - I've mentioned it before on here. It's just so weird.

Drove the dog-mobile to the vets this morning (Charlie has a bad back), also to do the weekly shopping run. Parked up in an almost empty supermarket car park.... as always, as far away from the door of the supermarket as possible to avoid rubbish trolly driver 'dinks' and car door damage.

I return to find someone has parked thus (see below) I mean, why that bay? And then, so close that I can't open the bloody passenger doors to get shopping in... It happens ALL THE fkING TIME.

Why would anyone do that?

Does this happen to others, or am I just weird?

I was going to ask why you were putting the shopping in the back seat and not in the boot like a normal person. But then I realised that your dog would probably like that a lot more than you would.

This drives me absolutley fking batst mental.

Like you I park away from the throng, (for a number of reasons!), and invariably I come back to find another car parked right next to mine. One time I'd only gone to get a parking ticket.

I made the point, (which was unbelievably contested!), on another thread that they are being either inconsiderate and/or antagonistic.

This weeks word for them is cocksocket!

They do it because they are sheep, herd mentality forces them to seek other cars.

Or maybe he fancies you?

Maybe he wants them to produce a litter of Corvoques?

Happens all the time to me. As reliable as day follows night. I've always assumed it's because they rely on another car to 'guide' them into spaces. Only because beyond that, I simply can't explain this behaviour.

Alternatively, he might always park in that space, he might be there everyday. How dare you park next to his spot, some people just have no consideration.

Seriously...its no ones space. No one has a right to a particular space.
OP needs to get over it. Evoque for the shopping run!? Your life really isn't that bad... Imagine if you had to do all of that in a corsa!!?

It's these kind of people who quote the entire OP despite being one of the first to reply, for absolutely no fking reason. As if the rest of us wouldn't have a clue what they were going on about without the same post in triplicate.

I hope it's that, nothing else makes sense.

Press relevant button on key fob, wait for boot to open, load shopping, get in, start car and drive home. Later create post on PH so everyone knows you drive an Evoque.

to avoid this in the future - do as you are doing i.e park miles away from everyone else - and then park it 90 degrees to the way it should be parked, preferably overlappins 2/3 bays- you are affecting nobody as they have plenty of more optimal spaces to choose from.

It will really fox others and just won't be able to fathom such random behaviour.

Let us know how you get along - with some cheeky snaps of that lovely Evoque
