Anyone got any good stories?

I'll start:

One of our senior area managers has just been escorted off the premises after being caught selling company assets on eBay. Whooops!

Your turn biggrin

We had this. One of the factory workers was living in the office, in a camp bed stowed away in a cupboard. Only when a colleague turned up unusually early one day did he get found out! Yes he still works here, in fact he's a nice enough bloke!

Our production director drives an L200 crew-cab Pickup truck which is unecessary, but it's to dodge tax. He's maybe used the loading bay 10 times in its' 3 year lease, which has just finished.

Somewhat hilariously the headgasket appears to have gone in the last few days. Sadly it'll get bodged with radweld or similar and some poor sod will end up with it!

Not much of a scandal I know...

Wouldn't open toes pretty much negate the possibility of totectors?

We had a facilities guy who would wangle himself a free TV or fridge or whatever from the suppliers he used to source stuff for the company. He didn't last.

Many years back a chap decided that he wanted to kit out his garage with tooling taken from the factory. We only found this out because one night his house caught fire...and as it happens his boss (my Dad) was in the retained fire service. Dad went into the shed to get a wheel barrow only to find loads of his tooling...3 years worth.

Like his house...he was fired.

General Manager was (allegedly) having an affair with the Production Manager, that was pretty good. At another site, the wife of someone who authorised purchase invoices was doing a suspiciously large amount of consultancy work for the company. The Serious Fraud Office didn't like that very much...

When I was a student, I was suspended (on full pay) from my part time job at ASDA, as the nightshift manager had somehow convinced himself I was stealing duracell batteries, despite not a shred of evidence.

The next week, he, along with one of the cleaners, were busted humping and snorting charlie in the staff toilets in the middle of the night, and sacked!
Sounds like the 2 might have been related, wink

Nothing dramatic at my work, frown

One place I worked at as a student regularly had a staff social club on Tuesday evenings after work. One girl was spotted snorting some white powder in the toilets. Next morning security called her and two others in for a "random" drugs test, and shortly after she was escorted from the premises and told to never come back.

A younger apprentice at my work was caught sleeping with her placement manager, she had a long term boyfriend, he had a wife and children. Two nights on the trot out of hours in a meeting room. They were seen by the cleaners. They denied it all! (after quizzing her it was blindingly obvious she did it) and previous remarks from her now made sense scratchchin One way to ensure employment I suppose as she was 19 and he about 45.

They both only received written warnings, he's still married and shes had a kid with her long time boyfriend (allegedly)

Sales manager caught banging receptionist in disable toilets (neither were sacked strangely)

In the early days of net access at your desk I knew of a couple of guys sacked for downloading pron to their machines. One of whom had a veritable cornucopia of filth on his office PC apparently.

Not a scandal as such but there is a story told to me by a few seperate people (I didn't work there) of a software line manager in a well known industry leading coperation who chose to change his sex, or at least start living as a women, he had a team of about 200 guys under him, left on a friday as michael and started on a monday as michelle. It set tongues wagging right across the industry infact I'm pretty sure everyone on the M4 corridor knew about by monday morning.

My old supervisor got a blowjob off 2 girls in a store room cupboard. He was sacked and the case was used by HR on how not to behave, I said I knew the bloke when it was taught 5 years later in management training.

A prostitute worked out of a toilet in a warehouse for a leading diy chain, i didn't work nights thou frown made the news

Same warehouse burnt down due to a fag effecting 20k + orders.

Same place had a team of fraudsters collecting returns from customers using their own vans, about 7 sacked.

A guy at same place was sacked for clocking in then going home and coming back to clock out.

A sales rep moonlighted as a special policeman whilst in work time at another job.
