Well having lived in the USA for many years im the past, im well versed in the short comings of a big yank tank. However i love them. The A8 has now gone. The wife is willing to indulge me. Another A8 or Q7 Vs a bit of yank tank. I would only have it 3 years. A CADILLAC ESCALADE HYBRID Electric Vs a Audi Q7, a LINCOLN
Navigator Vs a Audi A8. "Yes, yes yes" i know the Germans are the better built car. But the chance to drive something a bit "different" appeals to me. Now i have had a GMC yukon in the past and loved it. It would only be for 3 years as stated. Im i alone in this, or do any fellow PH'ers have that yank itch. Here a a few images to help. And "yes" i would have the big silly wheels biggrin

Are you going to drive them in the UK? Prepare yourself for some near 100% depreciation in 3 year's time! Don't care about that? Go for the unusual and tell your neighbours and friends to go **** themselves if they have some comment about your American Car.

Always love the unusual! Go for it!

we have family in the usa so it would be imported back to usa in 3 years. As they cover huge mileage in there's, so 3 year old suv with just 20-25k would be fine for them.

I'd say go for it, whatever your heart wants! If a yank tank is feasible for you in your lifestyle then I don't see why not! I've got both my yank tank and my sort of German cruiser, so best of both worlds, plus the Japanese ricer lol, the only thing that I'm wary of is driving a massive car on UK roads, but if you're not too worried about that, then go nuts! :-p

Instead of an oversized SUV, why not get a Mustang or something? America has produced some nice cars, no need to go for one of those things.
