Sounds Like?

Apple-oggies for being absent lately - busy at work and all.
I need someones experience/advice on the noise under mild acceleration coming from the head(I think!). I can only liken it to the noise my bicycle used to make when I put an old fashioned lolly pop (I know ) in the spokes - it sort of clicked rapidly as I moved along. Its not too bad under real hard accell (but then I can't usually hear much more than a luverly rour anyway )
At first I thought this was a blowing taper on the manifold but just having had both the downpipes and tapers replaced in stainless, Im now at a loss - any thoughts

Very loose tappets? Did you check the maniflod seals with a tube?

As a test, don't rev high ....do the opposite by changing into a higher gear much earlier than you would normally and if you hear a louder noise it sounds like it could be the exhaust manifold gasket blowing.

thanks - I'll have a look later. Most likely head gasket me thinks.
