Newbie with 2007 Cayman S

Hello All!

Quick bit about myself before I get onto a couple of questions that I have.

I'm Matt, originally from the UK but have recently moved to Dubai. I have used these forums for information in the past, but it was about time I got fully registered to join in on the fun.

As in the title, I have recently bought my first Porsche which I'm pretty happy about!

The car - (I'll attach some pics)
2007 Cayman S (Gulf Spec)
Basalt Black
Terracotta Interior
Manual Gearbox
Bose Nav (PCM 2.1 I think??)
Sports Chrono Pack
Carrera Classic Alloys
41k Miles

So just a couple of questions if I may

PCM 2.1 - I want to add bluetooth and iPod functionality. I know there are systems out there that utilize the CD Changer port. Is this the best way, or would money be best spent in changing the head unit? I dont want to stray too far from the original look, but perhaps a newer system will be the best way forward?

Drivers door speaker - On low volume levels, this doesnt appear to be working. Once I turn the volume up it kicks into action........any ideas?

AirCon controls - Nearly every Cayman S I saw in Dubai had really bad fading on the two aircon controls. I presume its with the heat, but as a result the normal black controllers look like its had some tip-ex spilt on them. Are these replacements cheap, and where can I get them from?

Other than that, I am loving the car and i'm pretty pleased with my choice!

Hi Matt welcome to Pork ownership. Nice looking car.

I can't help with the PCM question but your speaker issue should be covered by the dealer you purchased from.
The A/C switches will be an OPC part so be prepared to be fleeced.
