anyone seen these ? I really like the idea of these... would look just perfect on my 111s.

It's an old concept that got canned isn't it? The sidewalls were left uncovered for demonstrative purposes.

Indeed, the Michelin 'tweel' has been around for ages.

They wouldn't actually have open side-walls if they ever went into production, they'd look like normal tyres.

As above though, the prototypes have been around for at least five years and don't seem to have become reality so I guess there's some fundamental flaw in the idea.
