Just got back from Bolton. They had David Pipers 917 on display! I don't remember 917's being so small!

Cayman looks great in the metal, if a little underwhelming.

I had a good poke around a 991S and I have to be honest here, they are growing on me. .

Jammy thing Pete, I've got to wait until next Wednesday to go to Chester. I'll just have to make do with Geneva this Saturday while I'm waiting.tongue out

Went to the Bolton launch also and well...was underwhelmed by the car. I'm sorry to say this as I'm a big Cayman fan but this new car for me lookswise is not a patch on the Boxster.

I'm sure it'll drive great but it didn't pull at the heart strings. I think the cayman s wheels looks very heavy the spokes being too thick, probably an inspired move by Porsche to get people in 20's.

The grey cayman S on display was £64k...mental.

What was the deal with the popcorn? Who had some?

Guildford looks a lot quieter than Silverstone. It wasn't really possible to take a step back and take the whole car in. I agree that it didn't grab me as much as I thought it would based on the photos but more cohesive shape than 987 and wil probably grow on me.

Was also at Bolton last night and as a current CS owner, I have to agree that i now prefer to looks of the new boxster over the new cayman. The white demo boxster they have at Bolton is lovely.
If your going new cayman however it has to be the grey, but £64k for the display car, owch!
Big thumbs up to Bolton on a good night however.

Yes, in my original post I might have sounded ungrateful...certainly not. Many thanks to OPC Bolton for the invite, the drinks and canapes. thumbup

I was at Portsmouth last night also, brown did look surprisingly good, price after options was a bit scary on that example tho!

Cayman in Agate Grey with black leather looked sensational. The non-S looks the best buy and for £45k you can get a well-specced car on the road.

They were a bit cautious rolling that 917 into the showroom I heard.
